From October 8, 2022
to October 22, 2022
From October 8 to 22, 2022, the Alexis Pentcheff Gallery devotes an exhibition to the small Provençal masters of painting.
From Emile Loubon, director of the Marseille School of Fine Arts in the middle of the 19th century, to the painter Jos-Henri Ponchin, via Raphaël Ponson, Félix Ziem and Jean-Baptiste Olive, this new exhibition will honor those who knew how to sublimate the light of Provence with their brushes between the second half of the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century.
The gallery returns to its first love by hanging on its walls paintings of these Provencal painters, who were presented at its opening to the public in 2009.
After a decade of existence and more than thirty exhibitions at 131 rue Paradis, the gallery is preparing to move. We will soon unveil our new installation project, by the sea in Malmousque.
To wait for this long awaited opening to the public, we welcome you in our usual premises around this new exhibition of Provencal painting.
